SECTION 1. .Be it cuadled by the Legislature
of the Sttte of Mississippi, That the eighth
section of the above recited act be so unllld-
ed, that the several Boards of Coulity Police
of this State, shall be allowed, until the irst  be m o
day of May, 187, to return a list of the des-
titute and disabled State and Confederate
,soldiers, and the destitute widows and or-
phans of State and, Con federate soldiers, re-
siding in their respective hoeats, which said (ertjlea copy
lists shuall he colsoliiatel and filed inl the 1(, I) SCUt to
Probate Clerk's ohliee, and a certilied copy
thereof siall be immuediately filel by said
Probate Clerk in the office of the Aud-
itor of Public Accounts, and shall constitute
the lIUnsis of the prorata distributioln of the
fund of sixty tlousand dollars, niow inl the
State Trecasu~ry, set apart in pursuance of te
above recited act ; and if, ol or before tie
third Monday of May, A. 1., .1867, any Board
of Police or Clerk of Prolate shall neglect or
fail to tile inl the ollice of the Auditor of Pub-
