of individuals under
Dear Col.Green:                          stated facts.
In your request for an opinion you stated the
following:
It is requested that Opinion No. M-174
dated December 27, 1967 be reconsidered.
This opinion has caused others who have
graduated with a degree in Agricultire
from Texas Technological College with a
major in Agricultural Engineering to think
that your Opinion qualifies them for reg-
istration under the provisions of Section
12(a) of the Texas Engineering Practice
Act.
It is noted on page (2) of the
Opinion that you had talked with the Ex-
ecutive Vice President of Texas Technolog-
ical College concerning this degree. It is
believed that consideration was not given to
the fact that the degree in Agriculture with
a major in Agricultural Engineering was in
fact a degree in Agriculture and it did not
become an Engineering Degree in the School
of Engineering until 1962. It was not ac-
credited by the Engineers' Council for Pro-
fessional Development, the accrediting au-
thority for this Board until 1967. These
facts are confirmed by copies of the Texas
