EMPATHIC ADJUSTMENT-
AN ALTERNATIVE TO RULES,
POLICIES, AND POLITICS
Leonard R. Jaffee*
He,
who sodomized and slaughtered two young men,
who raged as his mother gave witness,
who, chained, removed ....
Twice guilty.
Excused, they departed in tears, and ....
Death.
This his first such edict,
years earlier he cheated
on his wife,
then left.
He,
just lawyer.
She?
Pregnant.
Learning,.
he rejoined her,
made another baby,
got elected judge.
Summer's coming, by me,
in NEGATIVE CAPABILITY
