I.      INTRODUCTION
The 1980 Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International
Sale of GoodsI (CISG) is a uniform set of rules designed to meet the
practical needs of international merchants. These uniform rules attempt
to accommodate the different social, economic, and legal systems in the
international community2 in order to develop international trade and to
