Resumen: Este artfculo tiene como objetivo explicar el hecho politico de los neoconservadores espanoles que siguiendo a los neocons estadounidenses importaron sus doctrinas sobre polftica exterior, en especial la teorfa de la He- gemonfa Benevolente que justifica en virtud del poder norteamericano y de sus ideales democraticos: la subordinacion de los Estados Occidentales ante los Estados Unidos. En el artfculo se hace consideraciones genericas sobre el fe- ndmeno neocon en Espana. Se estudian los principales escritos de los neocons espanoles mas reconocidos, en particular los que tienen relacion con la Guerra de Irak. Su influencia en la opinion pUblica y sus crfticas a la Polftica Exterior de Rodrfguez Zapatero. El artfculo termina negando la opinion de reputados profesores como Celestino del Arenal, Jose Antonio Sanahuja y Manuel Iglesias Cavicchioli que mantiene que fueron los neocons espanoles los responsables del giro de la polftica exterior de Jose Marfa Aznar en su segunda legislatura entre los ands 2002 y 2004. Abstract: This article aims to explain the political fact of the Spanish neoconservatives who, following the American neoconservatives, imported their doctrines on foreign policy, especially the Benevolent Hegemony theory that justifies by virtue of North American power and its democratic ideals: the subordination of the states Westerners to the United States. The article makes generic considerations about the neoconservative phenomenon in Spain. The main writings of the most recognized Spanish neoconservatives are studied, especially those related to the Iraq War.
