Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts must be typed and double-spaced. Submit electronic copy plus one hard copy without
self-identifying markers. Authors information should only appear on the cover page. Papers must be
between 10 and 35 pages in length including endnotes, numbered consecutively. Submissions must
include a short biographical statement about each author and a short blurb summarizing the article.
All suitable submissions are peer reviewed. Decisions to accept or reject articles are based heavily
on reviewers' evaluations. Papers submitted for review must not be under consideration elsewhere.
Peer evaluations usually take 8 to 10 weeks. Papers, commentaries, and book reviews accepted
for publication become the property of the publisher, the American Society of Law, Medicine &
Ethics. No compensation is paid to authors. For complete guidelines, see our website <http://
