THE JOURNAL OF RACE, GENDER, AND PO VER TY
                       Volume V 2013-2014

                              S4)

The Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty is a symposium-based journal
that thrives on the discussion of the taboo, hose subjects that remain extremely
relevant in society but fail to receive adequate coverage in mainstream law
journals. The Journal strives for a membership as diverse as its title: a title
derived from an attempt to be as inclusive as possible in its subject matter, while
always embracing the background and interests of an ever-diversifying student
body. The Journal intends to provoke critical thoughts and discussion, enlighten
the community of the world's persistent injustices, and encourage the community
to take a stand against those injustices.
The Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty welcomes and invites the
submission of articles by all members of the legal community. The Board of
Editors evaluates only articles submitted through ExpressO or via e-mail to
JRGP@sulc.edu. We ask that each submission include a brief biographical sketch
and appropriate contact information. Papers should be submitted to the Editor-In-
Chief with assurance that they have not been published or accepted for publication
elsewhere. We ask that submitted papers be typed in MS Word, double-spaced,
and formatted to fit on 8 /2 x 11 paper. We recommend that the text be broken into
appropriate headings and subheadings to conform to the most current edition of The
Chicago Manual of Style. Citations to references and authorities must be contained
in footnotes. Footnotes may also include elaboration on points raised in the text or
references to research sources pertaining to points peripheral to those discussed in
the text. Footnotes must conform to the rules included in the most current edition
of The Bluebook. A Uniform System of Citation. Footnotes may also include

The Journal of Race, Gender, and Poverty is published once per year and
is printed by the Joe Christensen, Inc. in Lincoln, Nebraska. If you are interested in
