Abstract:
The public consciousness of the people to a certain extent is formed due to the economic, cultural and political situation in
which the ancestors lived. Their way of life, customs and traditions significantly affect future generations. The purpose of the
article is to analyze the influence of the nomadic way of life on the public consciousness of traditional Kazakh society, the
views of individual researchers on the formation of morals, character and actions of the Kazakhs in a nomadic civilization. The
authors show the influence of customs and morality on the legal sphere of life, sense of justice of the traditional Kazakh society.
As a result of the study, the influence of legal and other forms of social consciousness of nomadic life, their deed, lifestyle on
the public consciousness of traditional Kazakh society is presented. Conclusions are made regarding general characteristics
in terms of vital activity and lifestyle of nomadic tribes and the Kazakh tradition, as well as their relationship.

Introduction
Before revealing the content and forms of public consciousness of the traditional Kazakh society and its influence
on the formation of the legal consciousness of the nomadic population in the past, the concept and significance of
public consciousness  in a traditional society should be considered. The scientific literature correctly noted that
'public consciousness is a dialectical unity of the processes of reflection and construction of social life. Such an
understanding  of public consciousness  allows us to emphasize   the dynamic  nature of public consciousness,
procedurally linking all its elements - scientific ideas and theories, every day and professional knowledge and skills,
psychological feelings, moods, habits, traditions, etc., which simultaneously act as a reflection of the life of society
and how  mechanisms   of social reproduction' (Arutiunian 2013). Moreover, 'public consciousness acts as a definite
semantic  field characterizing the historical specifics of the functioning of the social system in its inherent special
form of meaningful reflection of social relations' (Valdman 2014; Dodonov etal 2019).
       Summarizing,  we can say that 'public consciousness is a complex system of feelings, views, ideas, theories
in which social being is reflected. And if we talk about its meaning 'as an internal mediation in the system of social
self-regulation in a traditional society, then it is already emphasized in the very term used to designate this form of
