On acount of the Bolivia v. Chile case before the International Court
of Justice (ICJ), this Article examines the role of international judicial
bodies in an era where the concept of sovereignty is under
transformation in the context of the case of Bolivia v. Chile before the
ICJ. This Article maps this transformation, examining how it is depicted
in international jurisprudence in general and in the case of Bolivia's
application in particular. Arguing that Bolivia's request should be
