The growth and evolution of data governance as a practice nowadays requires an improved data availability, transparency, a higher quality data and a greater accountability. As organizations advance further on into the data- driven age, the speed at which they generate, store and consume, the volume of data increases and becomes uncontrollable. However, more data means more responsibilities, which come with more challenges.
