I. INTRODUCTION
Around one in three (31%) of Black Americans, compared
to only 9% of their white counterparts, reported personally knowing
someone who has died from COVID-19.1 Black folks are thirty
percent more likely to die prematurely from heart disease and twice
as likely to die of a stroke as white folks.2 Black folks, Indigenous
folks, and People of Color are more likely to live in polluted areas
than their white counterparts.3 Long-term exposure to pollution can
increase  your   chances   of  developing   respiratory  diseases,
cardiovascular diseases, and even cancer.4
