The Common Law Society is a voluntary non-profit as-
sociation founded in March 1998 by the students and
professors of the Law Faculty of Charles University in
Prague. It is open to everybody - students, teachers,
academics, legal practitioners and anyone else inter-
ested in Anglo-American law, history and legal culture.
It tries to bring its members and representatives of the
legal community together through organizing both
formal academic activities - seminars and lectures
given by domestic and foreign professors, as well as
social events - meetings and discussions, excursions
to state institutions and law firms, cheese-and-wine
evenings and trips to famous places of Czech history.
The Common Law Society also conducts educational
projects - professional workshops and seminars for
its members focused on their study and future career.
