Will of Soldier-Wills Act, 1837, sec. 11-Paper
written by female nurse on leave after receiving
orders to rejoin. In the Estate of Ada Stanley,' is
important at the present time, being the decision of
Bargrave Deane, J., that a letter written, by a nurse,
employed under contract by the War Office on hospi-
tal-ships, during an interval of leave in England, but
after the writer had received orders to re-embark,-
which gave the addressee full liberty to deal with her
affairs, and directions as to the disposal of her pro-
perty, was privileged as a soldier's will within the
meaning of the Wills Act, 1837, sec. 11 (R. S. 0. 1914,
ch. 120, sec. 14.)
CANADIAN DECISIONS.'
Appeal to Supreme Court of Canada-Order for
service out of jurisdiction. St. John Lumber Co. v.
Roy,' decided that no appeal lies to the Supreme
Court of Canada from a judgment of the Supreme
Court of New Brunswick affirming the decision of a
judge who refused to set aside his order for service
of a writ-out of the jurisdiction, the same not being a
final judgment  as defined in 3-4 Geo. V., ch. 51, D.
Winding-up Act-Winding-up in British Columbia
-Leave of Court to bring action in Prince Edward
Island. Stewart v. LePage' well illustrates the fact
that our Federal laws are laws for the whole Domin-
ion and each and every province thereof. The judg-
ment of the Court, Davies, J., dissenting, is that where
'[1916] P. 192.
