CHICAGO ASSOCIATION OF LAW LIBRARIES

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Members:

In our last newsletter I mentioned the upcoming National Information

Conference and Exposition V which will be held in Chicago on April 6-10,

1981, at the Palmer House. Since that announcement I was invited to New

York City by Information Industry Association, the sponsoring body of this

conference, and was asked whether the Chicago Association of Law Libraries

would be Interested In sponsoring the legal portion of the program. At our

last Executive Board meeting, a proposal to sponsor this conference was on

the agenda and was approved.

As a result of the action taken by the Board, a special committee has

been organized to plan this conference. I was asked to serve as program

chairman of the committee and accepted. The committee members are:

                 Exhibit Committee

                 Carol Brosk Co-Chairman
                 Mary K. Salovaara Co-Chairman

                 Promotion Committee

                 Donna Tuke Chairman
                 Anne Williams

                 Program Committee

                 Lee Burstein Chairman
                 Sandy Gold
                 Dianne Witkowskl
