CHICAGO LAW LIBRARY BULLETIN

                          CHICAGO ASSOCIATION OF LAW LIBRARIES

No. 50 September, 1973

                                  SEPTEMBER MEETING OF CALL

The September meeting of CALL will take place September 28, 1973, at the Water Tower
Hyatt House, 800 North Michigan Avenue. Cocktails will be available beginning at
12:00 noon; luncheon will be served at 12:30 P.M. Please come prepared to pay with
a check or exact change so that the Meetings Committee, chaired by Gayle Edelman, will
not need a large amount of change. You will receive a formal notice of the meeting
and a return reservation card through the mail shortly.

It is rumored that the program will consist of fresh, first-hand accounts of the
National Conference in Seattle in July. This rumor could not be definitely confirmed
because Mr. Kulys, Chairman of the Program Committee, had already left for vacation
by the time your editor called him.

                                       FUTURE HAPPENINGS

The tentative date of the next meeting is December 7.

Looking even further ahead--The Executive Committee is thinking of CALL sponsoring an
institute in the Spring on microfilm and microfiche in conjunction with legal bibliog-
raphy. The Committee welcomes your suggestions regarding the scope, format, speakers,
  etc., of such an institute.

Also in the future--Next year's slate of Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary-
Treasurer, and two members of the Executive Committee. Joyce Malden, Chairwoman of the
Nominating Committee, is eager to have the membership send to her names of possible
nominees. We are especially interested in hearing about newer members who have leader-
ship potential, emphasized Joyce. Here is her telephone number if you would prefer
calling her: 744-4994 (Municipal Reference Library).

                                          PLACEMENT

Another important number at the Municipal Reference Library is that of Carolyn Moore,
our Placement Chairwoman: 744-4992. Carolyn strongly urges anyone who knows of vacant
positions (professional or non-professional) to call her with the information.

On the other hand, if you are interested in changing jobs or in finding one, call Carolyn
and ask her to send you the placement application form.

                                      POSITION CHANGES

Speaking of changing jobs, that's just what the following members have done:

Miss Marguerite Donnellan is now with Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon

Mrs. Shirley Kueter is now with Hopkins, Sutter, Owen, Mulroy & Davis
