CHICAGO LAW LIBRARY BULLETIN

                     CHICAGO ASSOCIATION OF LAW LIBRARIES
Number 33 June, 1963

            I Annual Meeting

Everyone should be aware by now of the Annual Convention to be held at
Mackinac Island July 4-7 and its unique features as well as the institute in
Chicago which is to precede the Convention from June 28-July 2. Little time re-
mains to take advantage of these two events.

                                     Meetings

The final meeting of the year, the business meeting, held at Normandy
House on May 24, 1963, was well attended with the most important business the
installation of the new officers who are as follows: Mr. Leon M. Liddell, Pres-
ident; Mr. William J. Powers, Jr., Vice President; and Mrs. Ramonda Jo Barlow,
Secretary-Treasurer. The Executive Committee includes Miss Iris J. Wildman and
Mr. Frank Lukes. We were pleased to have an out-of-town member attend: Mrs. Bernita
J. Davies, Librarian, University of Illinois Law Library.

The previous meeting was the more-or-less traditional visit to a new
or enlarged library. The visit to the American Bar Foundation was interesting to
those who have been there before as well as to the new visitors.

                                    Conferences

The 1963 Conference of The Graduate Library School of the University of
Chicago will be held on August 5-7 at the new center for continuing education. The
topic for this Conference is a timely one: Library Catalogs: Changing Dimensions.

A conference on South Asian law held at the University of Chicago Law
School May 31 and June 1 included a discussion on Library and Bibliographic Prob-
lems.
