     NEXT CHAPTER MEETING WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 27.1954

     The next meetirlg of The Chicago AssociaUion of Law Libra-
ries will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 1954, on the fourteenth
floor of the Illinois Club for Catholic Women, Lewis Towers,
820 N. Michigan Avenue. Dinner will be served at 6:15 P. M.
After dinner the members will tour the new quarters of Loyola
University School of Law Library.

     Miss Jean Ashman, President of The Chica'go Association of
Law Libraries, has announced that the decision of whether or not
the Association will conduct a Third Annual 1-lorkshop during the
coming year will be presented to the members durinp: the meeting
of April 27th. Please give this question some thought before
your vote is called for at the next meeting. At this time also
Miss Ashman would like to receive suggestions as to place, time,
topics, speakers, etc. for the next Workshop.

    FORTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE AIIRICAN ASSOCLATION
                        OF LAW LI3BRARIES

     The next Annual Conference of The American Association of
Law Libraries will be held June 28th to July 1st, 1954, with
headquarters at the Delano Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. The
University of Miami Law School will be the host. Miss Harriet
French, Chairman of the Local Arrangements Committee, has written:
For both those who have never been to a convention as well as
the 'old timers', we believe that you will find this meeting a
most rewarding experience. The Chicago Chapter had ten repre-
sentatives at the last annual conference in Los Angeles, and
your officers are hoping that our chapter will have an even
larger representation in the Miami conference.

       SCHOLARSHIPS TO ANNUAL CONFEBENCE OF AIERICAN
                 ASSOCIATION OF LAW LIP:t 41IES

     Matthew Bender & Company, Inc., a New York law book firm with
 offices at Albany, has offered four scholarships of one hundred
 ($100ouO) dollars each to finance the expenditures of four law
 librarians for attendance at the Annual Conference of The Ameri-
 can Association of Law Libraries, in Miami Beach, next June 28th
 h.rough July 1st. Each of the seven chapters of the Association
 r,_.1. submit one candidate for a scholarship award to the cen-ral
 Q..Jiinitee composed of Miss Frances Farmer, AALL Secretary, Miss
   .,.sth Finley, AALL Treasurer, and Mr. George Johnston, for-
me-' A+.LL Presidont. The President of The Chicage Association of
