  This picture, kindly loaned
us by Golden Days of Phila-
delphia, shows how two boys
saved their father's animals.
The horse [a very valuable
one] was standing in the
stable wild with excitement,
and could not be gotten out
until the boy thought to
cover his eyes with a blanket,
when he followed his young
master as quietly as a lamb.
We want all our Band of
Mercy boys to remember this
picture through life. It may
save the lives of other horses.
