President's
Message

I write this first President's Message
fresh in the glow of the very suc-
cessful Annual Meeting at Hilton Head.
Once again, we set a record for atten-
dance, topping our previous high at
Tucson. The meeting reflected the me-
ticulous planning and style of my prede-
cessor, Waller Horsley. The meeting
was relaxed, fun and professionally
stimulating. On behalf of all Fellows of
the College, our deep gratitude goes to
Waller for a year of accomplishment
and efficient running of the College's
affairs. I am happy to report that Waller
has graciously agreed to continue to
coordinate the Law School Liaison pro-
gram. You will hear more from him
about this as the year progresses.
In addition to the change of adminis-
trations, other significant changes in the
life of the College took place at the close
of the Annual Meeting. Joe Straus of
Philadelphia stepped down as Chairman
of the Joint Editorial Board of the Uni-
form Probate Code after a long career of

1991 ACTEC SUMMER MEETING
The 1991 Summer Meeting will be held in Atlanta just before the
American Bar Association's Annual Meeting. Committee meetings will
be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 6, 7 and 8.
ACTEC is having a special get-together for all Fellows and spouses
at the J.W. Marriott Hotel on Wednesday, August 7. Cocktails will be
served at 7:00 p.m. in the Phoenix Ballroom Foyer, and dinner will follow
at 8:00 p.m. in the Ballroom. We hope that all of you can join us.
