Death by Muzuk
Wilmington, N.C., defense attor-
ney Stuart L. Egerton called plain-
tiff's attorney J. Harold Seagle to
discuss settlement. While Egerton was
put on hold, Seagle's muzak system
piped in The Backstabbers by the
O'Jays and Chuck Berry's Maybel
line with the refrain Why can't you
be true?
Egerton asked Seagle if this was
