Ms. MURKOWSKI, from the Committee on Energy and Natural
Resources, submitted the following
REPORT
[To accompany H.R. 2630]
[Including cost estimate of the Congressional Budget Office]
The Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, to which was
referred the bill (H.R. 2630) to authorize the Secretary of the Inte-
rior to convey certain land to La Paz County, Arizona, and for
other purposes, having considered the same, reports favorably
thereon with amendments, and recommends that the bill, as
amended, do pass.
The amendments are as follows:
1. On page 2, line 9, strike 8,800 and insert 5,935.
2. On page 2, line 16, strike May 24, 2017 and insert October
1, 2018.
3. Beginning on page 2, strike line 20 and all that follows
through page 4, line 6, and insert the following:
(a) IN GENERAL.-Notwithstanding the planning require-
ment of sections 202 and 203 of the Federal Land Policy
and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. 1712, 1713) and
in accordance with this section and other applicable law,
as soon as practicable after receiving a request from the
County to convey the Federal land, the Secretary shall
convey the Federal land to the County.
(b) RESTRICTIONS ON CONVEYANCE.-
(1) IN GENERAL.-The conveyance under subsection
(a) shall be subject to-
(A) valid existing rights; and
(B) such terms and conditions as the Secretary
determines to be necessary.
