Cards delayed are
not cards denied
We've received a number of in-
quiries about 1982 NSBA member-
ship cards. The new cards should
be out within the next couple of
weeks, and we sincerely apologize
for the delay and any inconve-
nience it may have caused you.
The 1982 membership cards were
ordered last fall and came in to the
office in plenty of time to be mailed
to you as soon as your dues were
received. Unfortunately, there was
a problem with the chemical make-
up of the cards and when the
names were printed on them the ink
smeared to such an extent that the
cards were practically unreadable.
The entire batch of cards was
returned to the printer, and they
turned the problem back over to a
plant chemist. After several weeks
of trying to come up with a solution
to the problem, a new supplier was
located and new cards printed.
We appreciate your patience and
hope that our problems have now
been solved.
