                            TENTATIVE DEAFT

                                   of

                       AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE
                       UNIVERSAL  FINGEEPRINTING
                       OF RESIDENTS OF THIS STATE

 3            Section 1.  Each resident of this State  is hereby re-
 a
 5  quired to file, or to cause to be filed, his  fingerprints, in the
 6
 7  manner provided in this Act.
 8
 9            Section 2.  Except for persons whose  finger-,rints have
10
11  been filed in accordance v ith section 4 of this Act, each ,erson
12
13  vwho is required by section 1 of this Act to file, or to cause to
14
15  be filed, fingerprints  shall do so by' depositing tvro sets thereof
16
17  v:ith the Chief of Poline of the city or town in v:hich he resides,
18
19  if he resides  in an incorporated city or tox.n, or -ith the
20
21  Sheriff of  the county in v.hich he resides if he does not reside
22
23  in an  incorporated city or tovn.   Each such Chief of Police and
24
25  Sheriff  is hereby authorized and required to have available
26
27  during  all reasonable hours a person qualified to take and file,
28
29   and such person shall take and file, such fingerprints.

31              Section 3.   Each individual vho is a resident of
32
33   this State on the effective date of this act is hereby required
34
35   to deposit his fingerprints, in the manner required by section
36
37   2 of this Act, vwithin   _     days from and after  such cf-
38
39   fective date; and each individual vwho becomes a resident of this
40
41   State after the effective date of this Act is hereby  required

43   to deposit his fingerprints, in the same manner, vwithin    _
44
45   days from and after the date of establishing his  residence in
46
47   this State.
