I.   INTRODUCTION
Few endeavors allow a group of people with no commonality to
come together and bond better than sports. Forgetting prejudice and seeing
someone as a person is a byproduct of experiencing physical hardship and
striving toward a common goal. There is perhaps no group of people less
understood than those who identify as transgender. Transgender athletes
have been excluded from the bonding power of competitive sports, or if
they do get the green light to compete at the highest levels it is the rigorous
testing that strips people of basic dignity. I contend that exclusion of a
