Morrison Many women's colleges have opened their doors to non cis-women. These colleges recognize that there is a place for people with a range of gender-identities on their campuses, and that their missions are advanced by the inclusion of such students. In September 2017, Spelman College, a historically Black women's college, made explicit in its admissions policy that transwomen can apply. Morehouse, the brother institution to Spelman, is currently considering a policy. This Article posits that although Title IX allows for single-sex colleges to discriminate on the basis of sex, this exemption should be read narrowly to require Morehouse to accept transmen. It also reviews Morehouse's record of being hostile to those who identify as gay and/or gender non-conforming, and its legal obligations to these students. 1.
