ABSTRACT
The general data protection regulation is the culmination of much tougher
legislation in this area. Most of the companies established according to Law
no. 31/1990 does not have to take special measures to comply with this legislation,
but all companies must be diligent in their dealings with data subjects and the
national supervisory authority. More needs to be done to raise awareness of the
obligations in this area, involving authorities, non-governmental organizations,
academia as well as legal professionals directly involved in setting up companies,
primarily lawyers and notaries. With regard to the pedagogical side of teaching this
element of the obligation of companies, without loading the syllabus, it must be
included at least in the form of a reference to this specific legislation.

Regulamentul general de protectia datelor este varful unei legislatii mult mai
stufoase in aceasta materie. Majoritatea societatilor constituite potrivit Legii
nr. 31/1990 nu trebuie sA ia masuri speciale pentru respectarea acestei legislatii,
ins5 toate societatile trebuie sA fie diligente in raporturile cu persoanele vizate
si autoritatea national de supraveghere. Trebuie sA se faca mai mult pentru
constientizarea obligatiilor din acest domeniu, trebuind sA fie implicate autoritati,
organizatii non-guvernamentale, mediul academic precum si profesionisti ai
dreptului direct implicati in constituirea societatilor, in primul rand avocatii, dar
si notarii. In privinta laturii, pedagogice, a predarii acestui element al obligatiei
