handle is hein.journals/ijli32 and id is 421 raw text is: Chancellor College Law Library in Malawi MATTHIAS CHIWAYA* The Center, now known as the Mcnight Legal Resource Centre, was established at the University of Malawi and designed to provide information support for the efficient and effective performance of the law faculty and staff, students and researchers and institutions and organizations associated with the University, including related government departments and research centers. The Library started out with books donated by the European Union and the British Council. To date, it holds about 2,000 items - 300 book titles - 44 periodical titles - 9 CD-Roms. The size of the Information Center is that of a secondary school classroom. It normally allows up to 10 students at a time, but, since there is a lot of demand, we have up to 20 students everywhere and it is difficult even to move. In the collection you will find, e.g.: * A set of the laws of Malawi. * A set of the Commonwealth Reports. * Halsbury's Laws of England. * All England Law Reports, 4' Edition. * The Digest Annotated British Commonwealth and European Cases, 2nd • Stroud's Judicial Dictionary, 3rd edition etc. The Library was established to serve as a reference center for the would- be-lawyers of the law faculty at Chancellor College, an extension of the .
