The five-part documentary series on NBC's Bravo cable net-
work, entitled The Reality of Reality,1 exposed lack of reality in the
current trend of the reality television (TV) genre.2 This series
exposed certain realities of the behind-the-scenes deception of
reality shows, specifically the manipulations by certain producers in
