Daniel-Mihail ANDRU* ABSTRACT The Rule of Law and the General Data Protection Regulation considers the use of the concept of rule of law by Romanian courts. The article deals with the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation, its interpretation, the rights of data subjects, the role of controller and the sanctions. The General Data Protection Regulation is a recent piece of legislation, an important experiment of the European Union, which is developing every day. REZUMAT ,The Rule of Law si Regulamentul general privind protectia datelor are in vedere utilizarea conceptului de ,rule of law de catre instantele din Romania. Articolul are in vedere punerea in aplicare a Regulamentului general privind protectia datelor, interpretarea acestuia, drepturile persoanelorvizate, rolul operatorilor si sanctiunile aplicabile. Regulamentul general privind protectia datelor este o legislatie recent5, un experiment important al Uniunii Europene, care se dezvolt5 si se incheag5 pe zi ce trece. Daniel-Mihail Sandru este profesor universitar la Universitatea Crestina Dimitrie Cantemir si Universitatea din Bucuresti. A fondat si coordoneazs Centrul de Studii de Drept European al Institutului de Cercetari Juridice ,Acad. Andrei Radulescu al Academiei Romane. Judecator ad hoc la Curtea Europeans a Drepturilor Omului si arbitru la Curtea de Arbitraj Comercial International de pe Iangs Camera de Comert si Industrie a Romaniei. Presedinte al Societatii de Stiinte Juridice si presedinte de onoare al Asociatiei Romane de Drept si Afaceri Europene. Redactor-sef al Revistei Romane de Drept European (Wolters Kluwer).
