Shelton has been a Circuit Judge in Ann Arbor, Michigan for over 16 years and is an adjunct faculty member teaching criminal justice and political science at Eastern Michigan University. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and has authored numerous texts and articles. One of his primary interests has been the impact of technology in the law. Judge Shelton is very appreciative of the assistance of Kate McCracken in the administration of this study. ** Young S. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Criminology at Eastern Michigan University. He received his Ph.D. in Crime, Law, and Justice from Pennsylvania State University. His current research interests include 'social contexts and crime/delinquency,' 'career criminals,' 'criminological theories,' 'minorities in criminal justice,' and 'application of advanced research methods. - Gregg Barak is a Professor of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Eastern Michigan University and a Distinguished Visiting Professor of the College of Justice & Safety at Eastern Kentucky University. He is the author and/or editor of more than 12 books, including VIOLENCE, CONFLICT, AND WORLD ORDER: CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS ON STATE-SANCTIONED JUSTICE (2007).
