THE Committee of the whole Court appointed by the
Court of Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and Commons, in
Common Council assembled, have directed the opi-
nion of certain of their Officers to be taken upon
several questions prepared by a Sub-Committee re-
lating to the differences which have for some time un-
happily prevailed amongst the various members of the
corporate body.
The following Resolution passed by the Committee
will best explain the object and purposes they have in
view:-
Resolved,- That the Recorder, the Common Ser-
 jeant, the Town-Clerk, the Judge of the Sheriff's
 Court, Mr. Common Pleader Ryland, Mr. Common
 Pleader Randell, Mr. Common Pleader Laurie,
 Mr. Common PleaderLocke, the Comptroller, the
Remembrancer, and the Solicitor, be severally re-
quested, within fourteen days, to deliver in their opi-
nions in answer to the following questions, and to ac-
company the same with a reference to the several do-
cuments, either in the archives of the Corporation or
