agt.              Notice of Appeal from
JEFFERSON BLOOM, Appellant.     Judgment.
Please to take notice, that the above named Jefferson
Bloom in the above entitled action, appeals from a Judg-
ment entered therein, on the sixth day of November, 1863,
in favor of the said Israel Luce against the said appellant,
for sixty-nine dollars and eight cents, to the General Term
of the Supreme Court of the Sixth Judicial District.  2

To the Couinty Court of the County of Tompkins:
In obedience to the requirements of section three hun-
dred and sixty'of the Code of Procedure, I, James W.
Stansbury, a Justice of the Peace of the town of Ithaca, 8
in said county, do hereby certify and return to said Court:
That on the 23d day of January last, a suit was com-
menced before me at Ithaca aforesaid, wherein Israel Luce
was plaintiff and Jefferson Bloom was defendant, by sum-
mons returnable on the 27th day of January then instant,
at one o'clock P. M., at my office in Ithaca aforesaid.
The summons was returned, personally served on 23d
day of January then instant, by J. D. Drake, constable,
with his return duly indorsed thereon..              4
