Subject: Two Items for Executive Committee Vote
            by noon, August 2, 1988

Attached for your review are the following:

     1. Request by the ABA Commission on Women in the
Profession for endorsement of Recommendations and Report.

The Commission seeks to have the Recommendation passed by
the ABA House of Delegates at the August meeting in Toronto.

I have drafted a proposed endorsement to the ABA House of
Delegates from the WBA. Please feel free to suggest changes in
content and format, if necessary. If you approve this
endorsement, I will have Kaye retype it and deliver it to Cory on
Tuesday.

     2. Request by the Women's Legal Defense Fund for the
WBA to sign an amicus brief supporting the validity of the D.C.
Child Support Guidelines.

A WLDF summary of positions to be taken in the brief is
attached. As you are aware, the WBA endorsed the Child Support
Guidelines this past year and is a member of a coalition which
is working to see that the guidelines are enforced.

Please call me at 836-5823 if you have any questions or need
additional information about these matters, and to indicate
whether the WBA should endorse the ABA Commission Recommendations
and Report, and/or sign the WLDF amicus brief in the Fitzgerald
case.
