A Microsoft Word copy of the manuscript should be submitted, typed with wide margins and double spaced. The Santa Clara Law Review follows generally The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020), and the Dictionary of Legal Abbreviations Used in American Law Books (compiled by Doris M. Bieber 1979). A Microsoft Word document, Version 2010 compatible or higher, of the text and footnotes would be greatly appreciated. The Santa Clara Law Review assumes no responsibility for the return of any material. Manuscripts will be accepted with the understanding that their content has not been published elsewhere. Except as otherwise expressly provided herein, the author or authors of each article, empirical analysis, essay, note, and book review in this publication has granted permission for copies of that work to be reproduced for classroom use in a nationally accredited law school, provided that: (1) copies are distributed at or below cost of reproduction; (2) the author and the journal are identified; (3) proper notice of copyright is affixed to each copy; and (4) the journal is notified of each use.
