                            Instructions to Authors
 1. All Manuscripts and  other communications  relating to the  irnal should be
    addressed to

                Indian Journal  of Criminology,
                Department   of Criminology,
                University of Madras, Chennai  - 600 005.  India.
 2. Two  copies of the articles should be submitted.
 3. Each article should be accompanied by an abstract of about 1U) words (15 to 20
    typed lines(
 4. A declaration to the effect that the article has not been submited for publication
    elsewhere, signed by all authors should be submitted alone with the article.
 5. Articles submitted to the Indian Journal of Criminology should be type written
    and  double spaced in A4 size Bond paper. Matter should be typed on one side
    of the paper only. with a wide margin. The length of the article should not exceed
    15  typed pages. Symbols. formulae and equations must  be written clearly and
    with great care Too many  lengthy tables and graphs should he avoided.
 6. References  are made  according to the abridged Harvard method by giving the
    author's name and  date to publication in the text e.g. (Panakal. 1973). Reference
    list at the end of the paper should be in the alphabetical order of author's names
    in the following form :
                 Panakal, J.J. (1973). An Agenda for Criminology.
                      Indian Journal of Criminology. 1 (1). 1-5.
 7.  Fifteen reprints will be supplied free of charge. Further reprints can be had at
     a reasonable cost. But these should be ordered when  sending the article for
     publication.
 8.  Authors from other countries should send $ 15 for getting the copy of the Journal
     in which their article is published and the reprints By Air Mail. Otherwise, they
     will be sent by Sea Mail only.

                            Institution Rs. 250.00
                            Foreign     $.  30.00  (including Air Mail Surcharge)

     Money orders / Bank drafts should be drawn in favour of 'Editor, Indian Journal
