    PUBLISHED EVERY WEDNESDAY,
 AT No. 177 RACE ST. ABOVE FIFTH, NORTH SIDE,
 By  H.  E. Wallace & D. Webster.

   This raper, intended to furnish gentlemen of
 the Bar, and parties interested in the distribution
 of the proceeds of Sheriff's Sales, the Settlement
 of Estates in the Orphans' Court, the Accounts
 of Assignees, &c., with a certain medium for the
 publication of Legal Notices, is furnished to sub-
 scribers in all parts of the city, at Two Dollars
 per annum.
   In addition to the Auditors' Notices which are
published under rule of Court, an Abstractof the
Sheriff's Sales, the Arrangement of Business in
the several Courts, and other Legal information
is furnished; and it will be the endeavor of the
publishers, by such additions and improvements
as experience may suggest, to make the paper
answer all the purposes which the wants of the
profession and the public convenience may re-
quire.

       RULES OF COURT.

   ,  IN  THE   DISTRICT COURT,
Fo  ths City and County of Pkiladelphia, No-
              vember 25, 1843.
  It having been represented to the Court by the
petition of many Members  of the Bar of this
Comrt, that it would be convenient and would
give more certain notice to them of the proceed-
ings before Auditors appointed to distribute the
proceeds of sales upon the process of this Court,
if notice were given in the LEGAL INTELLIGEN-
CER:
  IT is THEREFORE ORDERED, That  in place of
the advertisements and notice required by Rule
XIV. of the existing Rules of this Court, to be
given in cases where the proceeds of any Sheriff's
Sale shall be brought into Court for distribution,
and the claims upon the said fur.d shall be refer-
ed to an Auditor for adjustment, advertisement
bs made twice successively in the LEGAL INTEL-
LIGENCER, published in Philadelphia, and also for
ten successive days in one daily paper in the city
of Philadelphia, according to the provisions of
said rule.

      IN  THE  ORPHANS' COURT,
For the City and County of Philadelphia, De.
               camber2, 1843.
  IT IS ORDERED, That in all cases where an
Auditor shall be appointed by the Court to settle
and adjust accounts, &c., that advertisement be
nade twice successively in the LEGAL INTELLI-
GENCER, published in Philadelphia, and alsoevery
other day five times in one daily paper in said
city.
