MATTER OF: Windward Moving & Storage Co., Inc.--
                    Reconsideration
    DIGEST:

Request for reconsideration of prior decision
dismissing the protest, filed with GAO more than
10 working days after decision was issued and,
presumably, received by the protester, is
    dismissed as untimely.

Windward Moving & Storage Co., Inc. (Windward),
requests reconsideration of our decision in Ace Van &
Storage Co.; Windward Moving & Storage Co., B-213885.2, et
al., July 27, 1984, 84-2 C.P.D. i 120, dismissing its pro-
t-est against the cancellation of a part of a solicitation
because Windward was awarded a contract to perform the ser-
vices under a resolicitation. Windward's reconsideration
request was filed (received) with our Office on August 24,
1984.

Windward's request for reconsideration is untimely.

Our Bid Protest Procedures require that requests for
reconsideration be filed with our Office within 10 working
days after the basis for reconsideration is or should have
been known. 4 C.F.R. § 21.9(b) (1984). Windward's request
was filed 20 working days after issuance of our decision.
We assume that a protester will receive a decision not later
than 1 calendar week after its issuance. King-Fisher
Company - Reconsideration, B-205003.2, July 28, 1982, 82-2
C.P.D. if 87. Since the reconsideration request is based on
disagreement with our decision and since the request was not
filed within the 10-day period provided for under our Bid
Protest Procedures, it is dismissed. See King-Fisher
Company - Reconsideration, B-205003.2, supra; Dillon Supply
Company; Department of Energy--Request for Reconsideration,
B-203937, Jan. 19, 1982, 82-1 C.P.D. if 41.
