The claim is for charges for th(! storage of personal property belonging to inembers of the U.S. Army. Checker received and stored personal property be- longing to members of the U.S. Army processed through the U.S. Army T'ransfer Station at Fort Dix, New Jersey from April 1, 1974, through October 31, 3976. Ship- ments were placed in temporary storage at Checker's facility, pending arrival of the owners from overseas stations, However, the shipments in questior. were never claimed and they remained in storage. On June 15, 1977, Checker submitted to the Army a list of the unclaimed shipments still being stored in its facility. The Army responded on January 9, 1978, iI informing Checker that fi.les on the shipments made I prior to 1976 were- no lotiger available and that mdiling .' addresscs were not available for but three of the 22 K'.. members 'i.c. had property in storage.
