     Further reference is made to the request in your letter of
June 19, 1972, for review of the settlement (Z4-942130) which
disallowed your claim (CB-6032 0/C 1-061) for $37.25  in additional
freight charges on a shipment of 15 wooden boxes of aemunition
for cannon with explosive projectiles veighing 795 pounds.  The
shipment was tendered on June 18, 1969, to Tri-State Motor Transit
Company at Milan Army Amunition  Plant, Milan, Tennessee, for
transportation under bill of lading E-6894349 to Camp Drum,
Watertown, New York..

.    The  payment record shows that for the transportation of this
shipment your ccpany,  as delivering and billing carrier, already
has  been paid charges of  ,37.25 which were coz-puted on a minizum
vei;;ht of 2,500 pozuas at the rates of $5.97 and 09.52 per hundred
pound1s publizhed to and bcycni Jeffersonville, Indiana. In ur.ing  -
pa:,*:S:.t of a li-e iitional  Gun  of $7.25,   you ctate that a
seccnd  freij:ht =ovo-.ent was nccessary because 10 of the boxes in the
shipmnt   were foun  nstray at the origin carrier's ter :inal which
resulted  in your ccmpany not receiving those 10 boxzs from the
origin  carrier at the jeilfersonville, Indians intczcihang.e until
after  the first five boxes already had movec for-ard to fi I estina-
tion.   You contend that the additional charGes claized are due the
carriers  because the Goverrzent preparcd I -., bill1 of lading ad
incorrectly  showed the cuantity shipped as five boxes instead of
