Documents included in our audit sample were selected by using generally accepted statistical methods. We examined 262 of the 11,801 travel vouchers and found two errors for $85.30, a rate of 0.8 errors per 100 travel vouchers. The travel voucher median error rate for Air Force stations is 1.1 errors per 100 vouchers. We estimate that about 90 errors were made on the 11,801 travel vouchers and that the monetary value of the estimated errors would be about $3,800. A listing is attached identifying the vouchers on which errone- ous payments were found, together with citations to any applicable regulations. One of the objectives of our reporting is to enable you to judge the performance of personnel who are responsible for the quality of disbursements at your station.
