Box 92960 Worldway Postal Center Los Angeleb, California 90009 Dear Sir: We are pleased to report that our audit of travel vouchers and commercial vouchers (other than cost-type contract payments) paid by the accounting and finance officer (AFO) at your installation for the period April 1 through 30, 1973, disclosed no errors. We also examined the travel vouchers of military members for accuracy of computation of delay en route chargeable as leave and for ineliness of input of leave information to the members' centz alized leave accounts. Of the 182 travel vouchers in our sample three showed delay en route. Our examination of these three travel voucher s showed that all periods of leave were transmitted for posting with the correct number of days and that all were entered on the daily transaction listings on a timely basis after payment was made for the travel. The findings of our current audit indicate that your controls for voucher payments are satisfactory. The Air Force Accounting and Finance Center examines, on a monthly basis, a sample of the travel vouchers paid by the AFO at your installation. For the period November 1, 1972, through April 30, 1973, its examination of the two travel vouchers which involved delay en route disclosed no errors in leave reporting. Sincerely yours, Irwin M.
