These are our main points. --Canadian-flag ships have historically carried most of the waterborne trade that moves between the United States and Canada on the Great Lakes/St. Lawrence Seaway system. In the last three decades, the Canadians have increased their share of the trade on the Great Lakes while capturing most of the new trade that resulted from the St. Lawrence Seaway 130474
