HUD's Progress In Implementing

The 1981 Housing Amendments




The Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of
1981 contains a number of provisions af-
fecting federally assisted housing programs,
such as designing modest housing, increas-
ing tenant rent contributions in public hous-
ing and section 8 units, and denying Federal
housing assistance to illegal aliens. This
report discusses HUD's actions to carry out
these provisions and the target dates for
final implementation of each provision.
