     far .Old Faithful at the park, project No. 6S6-362, Alder subitted
     a u agrate total bid of $1,137,500. The cnly other bidder on the
     project quoted an agregate total bid price of 41, 261032.75. The
     Governents revised eticate for the vrk vas     966,699.25 The bid
     of Alderwasaccepted anJune29,1973.              -

          By letter dated JUly 18, 1973, Alder advised the cmtnoting
     officer that*it plu=bing and heating subcontractor had made an erwr
     in its quotation to the coewzany. In support of the allegation of
     error, Alder submitted a statem=ent in which the subcontractor stated
     that he had requested a price quotation f   a proped supplier; that
     the quotation va to.estate a price for itnI  and a suitable deduction
     therefra to al Uw cculation of a obid price fo:'--ite 1A; that, ha-.
     ever, the supplier's quotation for item 2A was the actual price, sad
     not the deductive .rice from item 1; that he did not realize that the
     price quoted by the supplier was in error. and that, cordingly, he
     tiscl     ted his bid przce for item 24. The subcontractor stated
     that a deduction u' 4?64,133 should have been used instead oft $121560.
     It is reported that the differenue between the above fiaures of
     437,422, ±I increased to the total claind error -of $46,O$3, .after
