profit. After bid openingg a discrepancy was noted in the low bid
under Item 2 of the bidding chedule. The uniA pricen multiplied
by the quantities did not agree with the oxtendid prieos. In
every subitcm, the extendea price exceeded the uxnit prico, and the
result was that the correctly eztended unit prices ihan added up1

Without aAing the low bidder to confirm his sido tho
contracting officer notified him in a letter dated Jina 27, 1973,
