This issue's cover shows the Honorable Roger L. Wollman,
Aberdeen, who was elected to the Supreme Court at the 1970
General Election. He was born near Frankfort, South Dakota, on
May 29, 1934, graduated from Doland High School in 1952, re-
ceived a BA degree from Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas, in
1957, and served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. He
received an LL.B. (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of
South Dakota School of Law in 1962, and served as Law Clerk
to the late United States District Judge George T. Mickelson in
Sioux Falls from 1962 to 1963. He received an LL.M. degree
from Harvard Law School in 1964. Judge Wollman has practiced
law in Aberdeen with Douglas W. Bantz since 1964. He has
served two terms as Brown County States Attorney and served
as president of the States Attorneys' Association. His wife is the
former Diane Schroeder of Hillsboro, Kansas, and they have two
sons, ages seven and three.
