           Rear  Admiral   William  C. Mott  to Speak


   The sixty-seventh Annual Meeting of
the Rhode Island Bar Association will
be held on Monday, October 5, 1964
at the Sheraton-Biltmore in Providence.
The Annual Meeting is scheduled for
4:00 p.m. in the State Suite. Reports
of Committees and any business of the
Association may be brought up at this
meeting. At 6:00 p.m. there will be
an intermission for a social hour and
the Annual Dinner will take place in
the Garden Room at 6:30 p.m.
      Judge Advocate General
   Rear Admiral William C. Mott has
recently retired from the post of Judgc
Advocate General of the U. S. Nav'.
He is now Executive Vice President of
the United States Independent Telephone
Association. This latter Association is
made up of 2, 645 operating telephone
companies  serving 13,315,000 tele-
phones across the country.
  Admiral Mott served with distinction
as Judge Advocate General and woas
a popular speaker at many legal assem-
blies during his service, including several

appearances at American Bar Asso-
ciation meetings. A native of Cranston,
R.I., the Admiral will be returning to
native ground for his address on October
5.
