State Bar President.
The new   budget provided for
financing complaints work and the
salaries of the complaints staff for the
first three months only. We can no
longer provide the 60 to 70 thousand
dollars a year for complaints ac-
tivities from State Bar dues, said
Brown. We must have financial
relief from the Supreme Court in the
form of an assessment or other
means.
Seed  money   for starting  a
statewide lawyer referral service was
added to the budget and a substantial
increase in rental of office machines
was voted to provide the State Bar of-
fice with automatic typing equip-
ment.
The 1978-79 budget is as follows:
