The second   business meeting of the
Commissioners of the Mississippi State
Bar met at the Robert E. Lee Hotel in
Jackson on November 23, 1953. Those
attending included all of the officers and
ten of the Commissioners.
Robert E. Perry (Jackson) was appoint-
ed Complaint Commissioner to serve for
the remainder of the 1953-54 year.
At the request of the President, repre-
sentatives of the Buena Vista Hotel and
the Edgewater Gulf Hotel appeared before
the meeting in order to explain what each
hotel had to offer in the way of facilities
and rates for the annual convention of the
Mississippi State Bar. After due considera-
.ion, the Edgewater Gulf Hotel was select-
,'d by the Commissioners as the site of the
..354 convention, the dates for same being
set for June 17-19, 1954.
Among other important items of busi-
ness considered at this meeting were the
appointing of a Convention Committee, the
publication of a monthly bulletin for the
Bar, a report on the number of members
delinquent in dues, the work of the Legis--
lative Committee and the work of the
-Public Relations Committee.

The Study Committee of the Mississippi
State Bar met in Jackson on December 3,
1953. Present at this meeting were: Wm. Y.
Etheridge, Jr. (Jackson), Chairman; Lester
