The Black Canyon is a spectacular
granite gorge sculptured by nature for
two million years. In the canyon's deep-
est part, about ten miles in length, the
depth ranges from 1,730 to 2,426 feet;
the width narrows to 1,300 feet at the rim
and as little as forty feet at the bottom.
